Barbadians were first introduced to her when she was featured on J-Co’s hip-hop track Pon Fire. Her track Sweet Satisfaction was nominated for two 2006 International Soca Music Awards. Now, she is forging a musical style of her own. Influenced by artists such as Etta James, Nelly Furtado, The Cranberries, Alanis Morrisette and UB40, and merging R&B, soca, pop and even a hint of country, this talented artist is poised to take the world by storm.
Although none of her songs have been officially released to the airwaves, Livvi has been creating a buzz online with songs like Shiver, a sultry, seductive R&B/neo-soul number and Free, an uptempo track with country inklings. Livvi’s unique vibe also carries through on slower numbers like Bliss and Tap Tap. Tap Tap, a love story with powerful words does a good job of connecting to listeners on an emotional level. In all of her numbers, Livvi’s voice shines through as a strong asset - and her distinctive fusion style sets her apart as a Bajan artist with strong potential to break into the international arena.
