ImageLocal DJ Hypasounds is well known for hyping (pun intended) the crowds at parties, fetes and anyplace else he can spin the turntables.  Since being featured in the second issue of CiRCUIT magazine as a favourite DJ on the underground party scene, Hypasounds has grown in popularity and has emerged as a DJ to be reckoned with.

This Crop-Over, however, Hypasounds is creating a stir with his ragga-soca hit Sunshine Girl.  The track, a dedication to the fairer sex, was a favourite on the charts, hitting the number 1 position on Hott 95.3 FM’s Hott in the Crop tunes and Baje’s Countdown.  It also broke into 98.1 The One’s Socaholic Top 20.  He also placed second in this year's Peoples Monarch Competition.

It’s not the first time that Hypasounds has released music.  Last year, Hypasounds released two tracks.  Bumpa Must Dead, a fast-paced wuk-up tune, and Broomstick Girls, a humorous response to Captain Sawyer’s Big, Fat and Thick.  The public response to Sunshine Girl, however, has by far eclipsed the response to last year’s tracks.

The lyrics and the medium-paced make-ya-wanna-wine tempo seem to have struck a chord with listeners, making Sunshine Girl a staple on the airwaves for the season.
