CiRCUIT breaks onto the Bajan youth scene with its premier issue, the cover of which features Lene Hall, Barbados’ most recognised female model. NY-based Lene has been featured in international magazines including Mademoiselle, Elle, Oprah, Glamour, Spanish Vogue, Essence, Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire. She is also the cover model for Sam Fine’s book Fine Beauty, the Holy Grail of makeup fanatics worldwide, and has been utilised in beauty campaigns for Revlon. Lubriderm, Noxema and Clairol. On the cover, Lene wears an original piece by Bajan designer Nefertari. The issue also features entertainer Starr Perez, entertainment entrepreneurs BoomTribe and DJ and music producer Peter Coppin, who has worked with just about every major Bajan artiste, and has also worked with international recording artistes TOK, Elephant Man and Foxy Brown.

Issue 2

CiRCUIT’s sophomore production features a hard-to miss lime green cover with Miss Barbados Universe 2004, Cindy Batson outfitted by fashion house Simon/Peter. The lead story focuses on exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of soca superstar Rupee’s Tempted To Touch video. Since his signing to Atlantic Records, Rupee has maintained a hectic touring schedule which has carried him throughout the Caribbean, North America, Europe and Asia. The issue also features local hip-hop veterans, The Poundas, Road March 2K4 winner Mikey and Hypasounds, who is fast becoming a staple in the entertainment industry as a DJ likely to break onto the international circuit.

Issue 3

CiRCUIT’s third issue features Tennille Stoute on the cover. Signed to mc2 (formed Karin NY), Tennille has has modelled for local and international designers in Barbados, New York, Miami, Jamaica, Germany, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Ecuador. Tennille has also been featured in a number of regional and international magazines, including Essence and Italian Elle and Ebony. This issue also features DJ Fuzz (Hott 95.3 DJ and Rupee’s official tour DJ), DJ Hurricane of 98.1 The One, Peter Ram, Peach and Cynthia Dawson who authoritatively stamped her mark on Barbados’ fashion circuit as the first ever Banks Calendar Girl.

Issue 4

The Best of Bajan Youth Culture gets even better when CiRCUIT becomes the first magazine in the world to grab Bajan-born international singing sensation Rihanna as its cover model. Rihanna has had immense success on international charts, reaching #2 on Billboard with Pon De Replay and #1 with S.O.S. Rihanna continues to be Barbados’ best known entertainer. The issue features one of the most in-depth one-on-one magazine interviews with Rihanna to date. It also features alternative band Kite, and DJ troupe Monstapiece. Singer/songwriter Shontelle, now signed to SRP, Rihanna’s producton team is also interviewed in this issue.

Issue 5

CiRCUIT’s fifth issue featured the magazine’s first ever two-model cover, with models Crystal Cunningham (left) and Zina Gibbs (right) showcasing the designs of Barbadian designer Sharon James.  This issue featured Mornin’ Barbados’ Belle Holder, radio personality Annie (Mix 96.9 FM), BAJE International, the Top Gunner DJ Fraternity and more.  The issue also included a CSME special segment, which looked at some of the issues surrounding regional integration.
